FLSA STATUS: N/A

COMPENSATION: $27.00/hr

SCHEDULE: To be discussed with hiring manager. Working approximately 20 hours/week

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assists with the performance of attestation and consulting engagements during all phases of planning, fieldwork, and reporting.

Assists in the preparation of audit workpapers and memos as well as communicating with departments across the entire organization.
Coordinates with supervisor and workpaper reviewer for feedback and learning opportunities.

Assists the audit team with corrective action plan validation for proper and complete implementation.

Assists the audit team with small projects and data collection as assigned.
Regular and reliable attendance is required as an essential function of the position.

REQUIRED FOR ALL HCAA JOBS

In the event of an emergency or disaster that impacts the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority (HCAA), an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee’s department or the HCAA Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Such assignments may be before, during, or after the emergency/disaster.

Complies with all HCAA Policies, Standard Procedures, Rules and Regulations, and Operating Directives.

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS)

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related field.

Must possess a valid Florida Driver License.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Basic understanding of Accounting, Data Analytics, Information Systems and/or Internal Audit practices.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle restricted, sensitive, and confidential information.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others within and outside the Authority.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service, serve the public, and represent the Authority with courtesy and professionalism.
